Dr. Warren S. Joseph is a specialist in the treatment of lower extremity infectious diseases. He received his podiatric degree from the Wm. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr Joseph completed his postgraduate training in podiatric medicine/surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, both in Philadelphia. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.
Dr Joseph is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and is an author on the IDSA Diabetic Foot Infection Guidelines. He is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and currently serves as Editor of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Joseph lectures extensively and his presentations have focused on the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the lower extremity. He has authored close to 100 publications in the field of lower extremity infections.
As the first podiatric physician in the US to complete a fellowship in podiatric dermatology, I have dedicated my career to advancing this subspecialty by educating other health care providers in lower extremity skin conditions, performing clinical trials, writing hundreds of articles, blogs, and book chapters, publishing several textbooks, granting interviews for various media outlets, and lecturing at medical conferences across the US and Europe. My background in both podiatric medicine and dermatology has allowed me to connect these specialties when collaborating with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries as a clinical consultant and thought leader for over 19 years.
Dr. Cohen is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Academy of Wound Management. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, an Associate of the American College of Podiatric Sports Medicine, a member of the American Diabetes Association Council on Foot Care, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and a member of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association.
